GloRilla Is Entering Her Beauty Boss Era With a New Platform for Makeup Artists & Hairstylists
Okay, beauty girlies, GloRilla is officially stepping into the beauty-tech chat!
The Memphis-born, Atlanta-based rapper is taking her influence beyond music with GloVerse, a new platform designed to help talented makeup artists and hairstylists get discovered, build their brands and connect with potential clients. And the inspiration behind it actually came from GloRilla’s own struggle to find reliable glam professionals when her career first took off.
Before she had an established glam squad, GloRilla says finding makeup artists and hairstylists was a recurring headache. That experience planted the seed for an idea: Why not create a space where people can easily discover talented beauty professionals and give those artists more visibility at the same time?
Over the years, GloRilla also encountered plenty of incredibly gifted beauty pros who simply didn’t have the exposure their work deserved. Now she’s hoping GloVerse can help change that.
She co-founded the venture with Georgii Speakman, founder and CEO of OUT.LI.ER, and even the name GloVerse has a cute meaning behind it. It’s partly a nod to GloRilla, but it also represents stepping into her world to “find your glow.”Come on, branding!
Beauty Pros, Meet Your “GloID”
One of the coolest parts of GloVerse is its focus on helping beauty professionals market themselves.
During the beta period, which is expected to continue through December 2026, makeup artists and hairstylistsknown on the platform as “GloPros” can create profiles and establish their own GloID through the online version of the platform.
Think of the GloID as a digital beauty calling card. Artists will be able to share their profiles through social media, bios and websites, making it much easier for potential clients to see their work and connect with them. The team is also developing an Apple Wallet feature that could eventually allow someone to pull up and scan a GloPro’s information directly from a phone. Now that’s networking for the beauty-girl generation!
A full version of the app is expected to eventually roll out for iOS and Android, but perhaps the most exciting part for us here in the South is that GloRilla is launching the brand in Atlanta.
And honestly, Atlanta feels like the perfect place for it. This city is overflowing with talented makeup artists, hairstylists and beauty creatives responsible for some seriously fabulous glam. Giving emerging artists another way to showcase their skills and potentially get in front of celebrities, influencers, productions and everyday clients could be major.
From chart-topping rapper to beauty-tech entrepreneur, GloRilla is making room for the glam squad to shine too and we’re definitely keeping an eye on this one!
