Celebrity Style: Rita Ora’s Red Gown At ‘Descendants Wicked Wonderland ‘Premiere

Rita Ora and Taika Waititi turned the Descendants: Wicked Wonderland premiere into a stylish date night as they walked the checkered carpet together at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles on Tuesday, July 14. The singer and actress, who reprises her role as the glamorous Queen of Hearts, had her biggest Descendants moment yet, with husband Taika by her side. The filmmaker sweetly stole a few moments on the carpet, planting a kiss on Rita’s cheek and even smoothing the dramatic train of her gown to ensure every photo was picture-perfect.

Rita was also joined by her on-screen daughter, Liamani Segura, who makes her Descendants debut as Pink, the younger daughter of the Queen of Hearts and sister to Red. Expanding her role in the fifth installment, Rita also lends her vocals to several songs, including the emotional duet with Brandy’s Cinderella, “The Girl I Used to Be.”

For the premiere, Rita fully embraced her royal villain era in a striking sheer crimson corseted gown layered over a structured bustier, paired with sparkling rhinestone-embellished opera gloves. The dramatic monochromatic look was a fashionable nod to her Queen of Hearts character, blending high glamour with fairytale-inspired drama.
