First Look: You, Me & Tuscany Starring Halle Bailey and Rege-Jean Page

Halle Bailey and Regé-Jean Page are about to turn up the heat in a swoon-worthy romantic comedy packed with playful twists, dreamy Italian backdrops, and, let’s be honest, some ridiculously good-looking stars.

“It captivated me right away,” says Bailey, 25, about diving into the script from writers Ryan Engle and Kristin Engle.

The film follows Anna, a bold free spirit whose impulsive decision to squat in an abandoned Tuscan villa owned by a man she barely knows spirals into a whirlwind of adventure, little white lies, and of course… love. Tuscany has never looked so tempting!

For Page, 37, who plays the charming cousin of the villa’s owner, signing on was an easy yes. And their chemistry? It sparked long before filming. The two first crossed paths at the glamorous Met Gala, where Halle made it her mission to introduce herself since she knew they’d soon be co-stars. The quick hello turned into them hanging out the entire night talk about a meet-cute!

Halle already felt like she “knew” him, thanks to binge-watching Bridgerton with her sister Chloe. “He’s so cool!” she shared and honestly, I agree. I interviewed him years ago on an ABC TV show called, For the People where he played a sharp attorney, and he was just as charming off-camera as you’d imagine. Warm, welcoming, effortlessly cool… and yes, that British accent definitely doesn’t hurt!

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of meeting Halle a few times! The first was here in Atlanta when she attended an event with her sister Chloe, and later I had the opportunity to interview her during Disney Dreamers while she was serving as a celebrity ambassador. At the time, she was also gearing up for the release of her film where she brought Ariel to life in The Little Mermaid. Every single time, she has been an absolute doll warm, gracious, and just as sweet as you’d hope!
