Celebrity Style: Angela Bassett Red Satin Jumpsuit At Voice Arts Awards

Actress Angela Bassett presented fellow icon Laurence Fishburne with the prestigious James Earl Jones Prize Award during a glamorous evening at the Beverly Hilton. Angela looked absolutely radiant as she took the stage for the special honor.

Seeing the two together was a powerful, full-circle moment. Many will remember Bassett and Fishburne portraying the estranged parents of Cuba Gooding Jr.’s character in the iconic film Boyz n the Hood. Their performances left a lasting impression, and the film remains a cultural classic and one of my personal favorites. Watching them reunite onstage years later at the Voice Arts Awards felt both nostalgic and meaningful.

Now in its twelfth year, the Voice Arts® Awards celebrate creative excellence across more than 150 categories, honoring outstanding achievements in animation, film, television narration, audiobooks, audio description, video games, political advertising, podcasts, and spoken word.

For the elegant affair, Angela wore a striking Farah satin jumpsuit in a rich, dark red hue. The design featured dramatic cape-style sashes cascading down the back and a fluid wide-leg silhouette that moved beautifully with every step. The lustrous satin finish added an effortless sophistication, making the look both bold and refined.

It’s a versatile statement piece perfect for a romantic dinner date, cocktails with friends, or even a stylish vacation evening out. See more inside…
