Why Madea’s Destination Wedding Had Me Cracking Up
I’ve been a Madea fan since she first burst onto the screen in Diary of a Mad Black Woman back in 2005, and she’s still just as outrageous, opinionated, and wildly entertaining as ever. The new film brings all the chaos and heart we love, this time with a tropical twist!
The story follows Madea’s nephew Brian (also played by Tyler Perry) and his ex-wife Debrah (Taja V. Simpson), who are shocked to find out their daughter Tiffany (Diamond White) is engaged to a rapper she just met and the wedding is happening in two weeks! Naturally, the whole crew jets off to the Bahamas, and from there, the hilarious hijinks begin.
It’s a feel-good comedy all about family, love, and sticking together, no matter how wild things get. The film is beautifully shot (hello, Atlantis Bahamas!), and Madea got a major glow-up with a fabulous new wig and wardrobe. And as always, David Mann and Cassi Davis Patton steal every single scene they’re in!
If you’re looking for something light, fun, and laugh-out-loud funny to watch this weekend, Madea’s Destination Weddingis now streaming on Netflix. Trust me, it’s a whole vibe! See more inside…
