Issa Rae Says She’s Glad ‘Insecure’ Came To An End On ‘Jennifer Hudson Show’
Comedian Issa Rae stopped by The Jennifer Hudson Show a couple of days ago. She talked about how she is ready to enter her mogul era, which she plans to build with intention, including building a studio in South L.A. and much more. The “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” star shared that as a child she wrote and performed her first play, “The Old and The Rested,” based on drama in her church, after which her pastor encouraged her talent, but it was attending a live taping of “Moesha” that was a pivotal moment in her life and career.
Issa then chatted about “Insecure,” why she’s glad it ended, and how landing a role in the upcoming “Barbie” movie was a dream she didn’t know she had.
Issa said landing a role in Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” was nice and shared a hilarious story about playing with the dolls as a child. The “Insecure” star delivers a message of self-encouragement at the Happy Place. See the video clip inside….
